Seriously! Ok, hear me out. They have appeared to hit rock bottom, and have nowhere to go but up. The offense seems to have all slumped at the same time, but even a modest recovery would result in goals that would be enough for Luongo to protect. Luongo hasn't played his best, but do you think that's gonna last? No way. As for the defense, the Canucks have lost 3 of their top 4 defensemen and have called up Alex Edler and Luc Bourdon to share the load. Edler has aleardy lived up to the hype and can only get better from here on. This is Bourdon's chance to shine and quiet all the doubters. After a solid game against the Colorado Avalanche, I think he's off to the great start.

There seems to be a lot of people who like to bash Ohlund. Oftentimes what you hear is that he's too slow, he's Euro, he's not playing with passion, blah blah yadda yadda. Can these people just chill out? Ohlund has and probably always will be an underrated defenseman. That is ok. The reason for that is that he is making 3.5 mill, a very reasonable salary for a defenseman of his skill and experience. He has been our trusty top 2 D for many years. He can do it all and play in all situations from power play to penalty killing and is dependable as ever. No, he is not the fastest player in the game, but his speed is deceptive. He can do everything at full speed, and his smarts afford him optimal positioning. So please, leave Ole alone.

Well, i think Mitchell is slow..but he is doing much better than Ohlund...becasue of his smart stick, positioning and his meanness. Ohlund seems to lose a lotta fire over the year and really his puck carrrying capacity is very low...
Dud, I'd like to see Mitchell run the power play. They're different players, and we need them both.
