I wish I could tell you. Their performances of late have been improved, but they took a step back tonight against the Predators. I was at the games tonight and I did not like what I saw. They seem to come out with good intentions with a couple of good shifts to start the game. Howver, the game took a sudden turn when the 'Nucks took a penalty. The Preds scored on their next shot on the power play on a shot that Luongo should have had. Then, minutes later, Erat scored on a breakaway to make to 2-0. After that, it seemed like the wind was taken out of their sails. And it seemed like the harder they tried to break out of their funk, the more it seemed things went wrong, to an almost comical point. That was until Salo got hit by a clearing shot from Alex Edler in the 3rd period. Apparently, he has a broken orbital bone and it sounds like he'll be out for a long time. Some chubby ****tards sitting next to laughed and clapped when they saw that. Karma, dudes. Don't mess with it. Bieksa also had to leave the game with a deep cut to the calf. Sounds bad as well.
The one stat where the Canucks had the advantage was shots. However, many came from the perimeter. Also, since the Preds scored on their first two shots, there wasn't much incentive for them to bump it up.
So where do they go from here? I hope they have hit rock bottom now. The only way for them to get out of this predicament is to work their way out of it. Without 3 of their top d, it's gonna be tough, but they have no choice, cause all they can do now is work their way back up.
