Remember when ..........

Remember when Bobby Clarke signed Ryan Kesler to an offer sheet of 1.9 million? It was a ridiculous offer at the time, an over 200% raise. However, the Canucks felt that they had to keep him because of the unrealized potential that he had yet to show. In the off-season, Kes re-signed a 3 year deal for 1.7 mill a season. That is still a lot of money for him at this stage in his career, but the hope was that he would earn that salary eventually. Well, I think 'eventually' has arrived. He has been our most consistent forward all season long with hard work and the numbers to show. In tonight's win against the Ducks, he once again showed us his 2-way game that's stifling in the D end, and increasingly deadly on the offense. His second goal was especially sweet, something to stick it to Pronger after getting cross checked scoring his first goal.
