After a few days off and all the fuss that the media created over coach AV's comments about Linden's role on the team, it was good to see the Canucks get back onto the ice tonight with a solid road win over the Chicago Blackhawks. No, it was not a perfect game. Not even close. However, they kept things simple, scored opportunistically (is that even a word?), and got solid goaltending from Luongo. In other words, they did what it took to get the win, and the Canucks have that formula figured out to a tee.
The boys are now in that tough stretch where they play 11 games in 18 nights. If they can get to the Christmas break relatively healthy and with a successful December record, they will be alright.
