What now?
Well, after the initial shock of the Canucks not making the playoffs have set in, what should they do to move forward and improve the team for next year? Listening to the talk shows, there is no shortage of advice being offered from armchair GMs. One thing's for sure: Changes will be made to next year's team. Very likely, both Trevor Linden and Markus Naslund have played their last game for the Canucks. The Canucks now have cap space to sign free agents, a 10th overall draft pick in this summers amateur draft, and quite a few NHL ready prospects. Will they sign a few guys and bring on a few prospects, or will they sign some and make a trade? Who knows? Let's just hope that they make the right moves and avoid the injuries that limited their effectiveness from day 1 of training camp in 2007-08. Things don't look as bad as it may have seemed.
